A real highlight of our trip to India and it was worth coming here just to meet and spend time with the charming family owners. The accommodation is top class and delightfully comfortable, whilst the beautiful grounds by the lake was an Oasis of relaxation. We met our hosts & other guests for pre dinner drinks and dined together on a delicious selection of home cooked food. Our hosts were very accommodating to any needs their guests may have. Our evening drive in the local area delivered a sighting of 2 Leopard cubs (obviously not guaranteed) followed by sunset drinks overlooking the lake. This is a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of big city India and about as close to perfect as it gets. Highly recommended that you include this on your itinerary. ~ Steven A

The Dev Shree is a hidden gem. One of the highlights of our trip. All of the lovely rooms are situated around a courtyard; the palace is located on a lake; the grounds are stunning and there is a beautiful pool area. All of the guests, along with the owner family, take meals at a communal table allowing you to meet your fellow travelers. There are a number of wonderful activities from which to choose, the highlight for us being the historic train ride on a local train, not a tourist train. Many travelers stop at the Dev Shree to break up the drive between Jaipur and Jodhpur. It is much more than that; it is a destination all its own. And the host family is exceedingly gracious and accommodating. A perfect two days! ~ Dorothy L

Exceptional! Our one-night stay here left us with emotions that lasted the entire week. A pro tip right away: plan for a minimum of two nights to fully immerse yourself. The hosts were exceptional, offering warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. The rooms were spacious and cozy, providing a perfect retreat from the outside world. Bhavna and Shatrunjai Singh’s place in Deogarh is a homecoming. There aren’t enough stars on any website that can describe their warmth and thoughtful attentiveness. The staff is impeccably diligent in every little detail. The cuisine is stylish and wholesome. The lawn table in the afternoon shade beckons. The meter gauge train ride transports the child in you into dreamy worlds. The jeep ride to a nearby placid lake is a birdwatcher’s delight. Later, flashlights fervently search for gleaming leopard eyes. For those who prefer to avoid dogs, Devshree would be a gentle introduction to these warm friends. Don’t miss the opportunity. Dev Shree is a Amazing place to be, Can’t be described in one word. It is Luxury , Comfort , Peace , Tranquility, everything which one can dream for a ideal peaceful and happy holiday. A small Boutique hotel with All modern comfort. Food is just amazing , mouth watering preparation ,you get a choice of international and Traditional cuisine, Excellent Service. Rooms are spacious & clean, Equipped with all necessary modern facility, Air conditioned ( hot and cold) , good toiletries & Wi Fi . Many activity options are available in and around the property to keep you busy and entertained. Pool , Trekking , Village walk , Cycling , Fishing , safaris and much more. The promoters Shatrunjay Singh and Bhavna Ji are very courteous and care taking. They have a vast experience of hospitality business. In all it is like a home Away from home & value for money. We had a wonderful time staying at the Dev Shree. Bhavna, Shatrunjai and Brigu were wonderful hosts and made us feel part of the family. The food was exceptional - every night we had a huge amount of delicious, home cooked local Indian food, tailored to our preferences. The property itself is beautiful and incredibly relaxing with a lovely pool and beautiful wildlife. In addition the family were always on hand to organise excursions, bird watching trips, safaris or local tours One of the best places we have stayed in India, would 100% recommend ~ Nicky C

Dev Shree Deogarh, what a finest tranquil experience we all had this summer... The Resort is beautifully constructed near a lake, in the mid of a village... They've got a total inventory of 8 rooms but during our stay we were the only guests staying in the entire resort. The rooms & bathrooms are so good in size, the antique collection in welcome area and dining area is worth capturing. The cutest dogo Micky is so friendly.. The courtyard & the verandas make you feel that you're in a age old era and truly makes you feel like a you're a prince of some estate. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly and made possible every experience that we could explore (Mr. Mahipal Singh (Manager), Mr. Vikram Singh, Mr. Dilip Singh, Mr. Rajendra & Chef Kishan). They made us cook on our special request, jeep safari, temple visit etc etc. Overall it was such a pleasure being their guests that i feel like going every month to experience the wonderful hospitality & serenity... Devshree is an enchanting property in every way- the location is on a lake and the bird visitors are myriad. The home itself is spacious and stately yet homely, made so especially by the hosts who take such pleasure in entertaining everyone and seem to enjoy doing so. It’s a place to spend some days, enjoy exquisite food and the surroundings. Bonfire evenings of interesting chatter or impromptu music in the courtyard. Spreadalicious breakfasts- they even have marmite. It’s my go to place on travels south - like a comfort stop. ~ Pavane M

Its a lovely non hotel - hotel. The hosts are very warm and kind. The house is very well maintained and staff is also caring. The lake facing garden is a good place to just unwind . The home cooked fresh food tastes very good . The trip into the countryside is excellent . The safari with the hosts is not to be missed. the atmosphere is very homely and the rooms are very clean and nicely done. The booking through Mr. Digvijay Jhala of Shaurya consultancy is smooth and efficiently handled. All in all , the place deserves 5 out of 5 stars. ~ Prati M

Fantastic hosts, wonderful rooms, a cultural and culinary delight! We just completed a 3 night stay where we had booked the entire hotel. Large, tastefully decorated rooms and common areas and fantastic food is pretty much a given at the price point and it being Rajasthan. - Our hosts who are erstwhile royalty, give you some much attention and time in person, it makes you feel super special. They represent and demonstrate the finest of Indian, Rajasthani and in particular Mewari culture - warm, cultured and full of anecdotes - The place has a lot of character. They had 4 dogs, all adopted with some quirks. Super fun seeing them chase balls in their evening play time. - The staff was top notch and attentive to all our needs, which were many since we had 8 kids with us. - we mostly had the local cuisine. Highly recommend the ker sangri, kofta and bhindi. The number of egg options in breakfast is unfathomable. We had benedict, baked eggs, Turkish, akura, shakshouka and many others. Highly recommend it against the many options in and around Udaipur. ~ Sharad K

Excellent Hospitality, Beautiful environments, Devshree provided us with everything. The food was wonderful and the rooms were spacious and very well maintained. We had the chance with my family to stay for 1 night on our way from Udaipur to Jaipur to the hotel! We had a wonderful time with the owners, who very welcoming.
